Editor's review
This is an editor for editing data in tables in most databases.
Active Table Editor helps the user edit tables in any Database. While many databases provide you tools to undertake such editing, they may be far too complicated for most end users. For example, when creating additional reports from a financial package you are likely to create mapping tables for the specific report. If one were able to change the mapping table, it would give him the capabilities to print and export data and the ability to change the mapping table as needed. A typical expert IT staffer, who is aware of the database structure, may use Oracle SQLplus or MSSQL Server management studio to achieve these features. For most common end users this may be a little bit daunting. This tool would make things simple all round.
The administrator can set things up such that the end user would be able to change contents of tables. Typically, the administrator logs in and designs how the interface appears to the end users. It is possible to edit user menus, security settings and data entry forms. With those details taken care of, the end users are able to edit data comfortably and without any confusion at all. They would be able to view and edit the data defined by the administrator and you would be able to work with most major commercial and open source databases. The customizable interface is simple enough. You know exactly which tables and the records and their fields you are looking at and what changes you are making. An easy and handy tool for your users when they must edit database tables, without becoming database experts!
